The Dirty Dave Knee Pads will be very familiar to any former Bomber owners. Although the size and shape are the same, the Dirty Dave Pad is slightly thicker, consisting of a 5/8 inch thick neoprene pad. Unlike the alligator style closures on other knee pads, the closure system of the Dirty Dave is a nylon loop system which allows you to double the strap back on itself, for a greater range of adjustment. The three straps are made of 2 inch wide durable Elastic/Velcro material that offers a rock solid connection. This closure method makes application a breeze. So now you can leave your boots on after the approach hike. They wear great over polypro or under cave suits. The Dirty Daves are constructed of all nylon parts with a 1000 denier Nylon front panel. All connection points are double stitched giving the pads extra long life. The Dirty Daves knee pads are offered in small, medium, large sizes. The short pad is 12 inches in length and the long pad is 17 inches in length to fit a wide spectrum of legs. One of the many great attributes of the Dirty Daves is that they stay in place, a must for knee pads. In 10 to 15 minutes the Neoprene padding warms up from body heat and conforms to the front of the leg. The top of the nylon front panel rolls over to the inside giving the top of the pad greater abrasion resistance in those long crawlways. By inverting that same rolled over top, you can remove the inner padding for easier cleaning.
